Easiest way to short the S&P500 with leverage for the medium term?

I'm relatively new. I was wondering if someone could tell me the best way to short the S&P500 for the medium term (3-6 months) with leverage? Specifically an option that does not allow me to lose more than my investment. I'm not trying to lose my house, just gambling $1000. Please feel free to roast me, just give me good advice while you do it.
