TL;DR:
I believe golf related industries, ie. club manufactures, ball manufacturers, merchandising manufacturers and retailers, course maintenance equipment, etc. will grow at an increased rate over the next decade or more. How do I create a portfolio to capitalize on this? I’m curious to hear any suggested companies / allocations, or if any one knows of any funds/ETFs/etc. that focus on golf.
Justification:
Partially anecdotal, I am seeing and hearing more and more people getting into golf. It seems like everyone and their mother is now all of a sudden interested in playing golf multiple times a month. Additionally, the largest generational bubble since the baby boomers are now reaching the age where they beginning to be interested in the game as a past time / business thing / whatever, and also have the disposable income to spend on this incredibly expensive game.
As this population ages there will only be an increasing boom in the industry and its interest. We’re already seeing “younger” interest in the game in social spheres such as Barstool Sports, companies like Top Golf are expanding, in home tech like virtual ball tracking/hitting setups are getting more popular.
I think the potential is there, open to anybody’s 2 cents on the matter.
