I do not ever want to be tricked into taking out a loan or be forced to liquidate positions due to accidentally using margin.
I told Schwab this, they disabled margin trading on my account. Several years go by, several trades missed because of pre-market tickers jumping past my balance. I think “Oh bummer at least i’m not using margin and that setting is still working”
Monday their “Disable Margin Trading” STOPPED working. My account went negative. I called Schwab for an hour. They say their SAFEGUARDS arent perfect and that their….. “MARGIN TEAM” will have to look at it.
Bunch of clowns at Schwab. I’m done using them if their settings and SAFEGUARDS arent working properly.
Cash account. Obviously not a margin account.
In case this is offtopic- hold NVDA. Its the best stock out there.
