Hey folks, I believe I have a pretty basic question here and I think I may be confusing myself with this question. Nonetheless, I purchased a decent chunk of shares at a private company a bit ago and it has not hit the market yet, or should I say its not on the NYSE yet.
1) Is this considered an IPO?
2) Now that I have these shares, now what? Wait until it goes public and decide how to handle them from there?
I have a somewhat decent portfolio, but all the stocks that I have purchased have been at longstanding established companies or mutual funds, so Im unsure of next steps. Its in a field of interest in mine and have been watching it for a bit, just wanted to gauge some potential actions. Thanks y'all.
