Finding out if old capital stock has value

Hello,

I hope this is allowed here… I was given a capital stock certificate for the American Copper Company from 1902. From a google search I do not beloved the company exists under that name, if at all. Can anyone point me to where I can research if the American Copper Company merged with another company? Basicly, are they still around and does my stock have value. My guess is no, but I figure it's worth some digging.
