CNBC new graphics

Well, some idiot decided to get creative with the CNBC graphics, turning the ticker and lower third into a god awful mess.

Besides being much less readable, it's also far less informative, while using silly pastel colors and animations.

And the data feed is fucked too, showing every single ticker as being “up 16 cents”.

It's a masterclass of presention failure. One line of ticker has been abolished, and the previously compact bug of indexes has been foolishly expanded to take up that whole line of missing ticker info.

There's a big wasteful CNBC bug. Time and time zones are gone.

Text is low contrast yellow on parchment white, adding to the readability problems. Typeface is needlessly thin and tiny. Charts are garish too, with visually bad white backdrops and virtually invisible snow colored layout lines on bright grey.

The constant screen wipes are annoying.

To whoever designed and approved this, you blew it.
