I am livid. Every time I search for $SPX on StockTwits I am getting results for a “S&P6900”. I'm assuming it's some kind of desperate scam, a pathetic attempt to swindle older folks out of their hard earned money with a cryptocurrency that's designed to hijack results for the legitimate asset.
Do they realize the S&P500 is worth tens of trillions of dollars, FDV? It's not only not funny – they genuinely seem stupid! There is no way in hell this thing is even worth a buck, let alone ever comes close to the value of the S&P500, so what's even the point?
Is this our new reality? From Coinbase ads on the television, crypto coin ads on public transport, to some of the largest brokerages offering bit coins and other forms of them – it seems to infiltrate every aspect of our day to day lives, and now, it's even taking over our brokerages and news platforms.
I've had ENOUGH. It's time we STOP giving these cryptos coins and bit coins any form of god damn legitimacy. Where are the law makers? Why hasn't this stuff been banned and what can we do to ensure it is???
Is anyone else seeing what I'm seeing? https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SPX6900.X
It's happening on Yahoo Finance too. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SPX28081-USD?p=SPX28081-USD&.tsrc=fin-srch
How can I remove these from my search?
