I've built a well backtested script in PineScript on TradingView. I've tested it for “Overfitting”, etc…So now I'd like to forward testing with an actual broker's API. Here's my situation/requirements.
- I live in the United States, so broker must be in the US as far as I know
- Fractional Contracts maybe needed?: I don't have a ton of money maybe like $2k to play with atm
- Futures/Margin Markets?: Any market that supports both Long & Shorts is fine
- Symbols Ideally Supported: NQ1!, ES1!, & major Crypto symbols such as BTC etc…(Crypto not a hard requirement). It's just where my background is.
- API Support: I need to send Orders from TradingView Alert Orders -> Program in Middle -> Broker API without requiring $10k deposits like TradeStation just to use their API. I know u can pay a ridiculous amount of money monthly to a 3rd party company to bypass this requirement, but that seems silly. As far as I know u can't trade through Pinescript via TradeStation's TV Plugin. And you can only setup Trade's manually via TradeStation's/TV's Plugin
- An API Test/Paper Trading Environment would be a HUGE plus
- Low Fees: Transaction fees & any other relevant fees
- Very Low to No Account Minimums:
Also if it helps my Mom has a lot of money in Fidelity if that'll help waiver these requirements.
I'm looking at “Interactive Brokers” atm. Would this would be a good fit for me? It seems so at when looking at their price structure. My friend says Tradestation requires 3x times the amount of the contract to Short regardless of what you're really risking as in where your SL/TP is in your account for collateral?! It seems like the stock world has all these “hidden fees” like inactivity charge I just got charged on Oanda for having my money in my Forex account as opposed to my Crypto account or sending it back to my bank account lol I'm use to things being straight forward in Crypto(KuCoin) where they charged a small transaction fee to Short in Futures & only required minimal collateral based on your risk with your SL/TP.
Thanks for any help anyone has to offer!
