What are today’s sentiments towards the market? How are we feeling

Beginner investor here – just been mostly lurking, holding & slowly buying on dips on a few companies and VOO for about 9 years now.

Going back a few months, say April 2023, obviously the market outlook was horrible. Just to name a few that put fear on to market: inflation, more rate hikes, recession, Ukraine war, inverted yield curve, and so on… I've personally pulled out and parked ~60% of my portfolio into USFR, sitting on the side to evaluate as events unfold.

Fast forward to today, how have things changed? I'm having a difficult time reading into the overall market sentiment and thought I could ask here.

To me some uncertainties today are: recession (some say it already happened), possible further rate hike with continued strong US economy, more global unsettling events in the Middle East, inflation, VIX hit 20 again (although it could be a good signal to initiate a long term position), long term impacts of high rates on global macro economics and corporate profitability, and so on.

There are a few companies that dropped in stock price and seems interesting to me, but I'm not sure how to feel and how others are feeling today. Any thoughts or feelings shared would be appreciated!

Edit: Forgot to add in that although there were fears, the market actually rallied until July, which is largely why I'm not sure how to feel today.
