What has been the longest amount of time you held a stock in loss and did you take the loss or wait for it to come back up ?

I am currently in >90 % loss with a marijuana stock and its been like that for almost 2.5 years. Still holding because I put $20k in it and its a lot of money to just let go. I could add another $10k and avg. down but I want to see some improvement first – hopefully this summer.
