Has there been more retail investors buying stocks recently?

I am curious to whether the recent movements of the stock market are because of retail investors. How would I go about checking this? I see on my fidelity app that there is a percentage given for how much of the stock is held by institutions but is there some kind of tool I can use to see who is causing the volume changes in the short term?
