Tax Rules for International Stocks on NYSE


Can someone help me understand tax rules for owning stocks of companies listed on NYSE that have their headquarters abroad? For example, Alibaba (BABA) on NYSE and this Korean bank (NYSE: KB).

Are capital gains/dividends taxed differently? Do I submit taxes to the foreign government or to the US? I don't want to file income to other countries… (Technically I can't earn income in Korea until I do compulsory military service)

I'm a dual Korean-American citizen using Schwab brokerage btw. Based in US.
