I just came across some news about the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) bringing back its lawsuit against Microsoft's massive $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This move is happening as the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) seems to be getting closer to approving the deal.
What do you think the FTC is trying to achieve here? it already lost and it seems like it will lose again don't you think?
It's a bit of a rollercoaster ride with the CMA initially blocking the deal and then reviewing Microsoft's revised proposal. Now, the FTC is stepping back into the ring.
