Cars are getting heavier and heavier. The roads are going to have a lot more wear and tear.
EVs don't pay the 18¢ per gallon in road taxes. If the goal is really lots of EVs, America is going to have to find a way to increase the durability of roads on a really thin budget, or the power company is going to implement a road tax.
If the power company implements a road tax , it will be for everyone, people in ice vehicles will be hit doubly for the road tax. America will have a surplus of money to fix roads.
How do I get in on that?
