This is such a tiny story but it's going to have huge long lasting impacts on how Americans buy washers and dryers and how homes are built.
They patented and seemingly perfected (well the reviews are solid so far) an all in one and ductless full size washer/dryer combo.
On YouTube there is a great 2 part video interviewing the head engineer.
New construction will shrink laundry rooms, avoid dryer plugs and ducts using these units making them the monopoly for new construction. The unit starts to pay you back as you are no longer sucking conditioned air out of your home, huge energy savings.
White good retailers (HD, Lowes, BB, et al) are about to sell a whole lot less washers and dryers. Less installs, less haul aways, less parts, less warranties etc.
GE doesn't own GE Appliances, Haier does, and is not traded in the US.
How do I play this new innovation?
