In other words, we don’t have a good indication on where the market is headed?

Sorry if this post seems meaningless. I am not well versed when it comes to market analysis. Far from it actually. Hence, I read a lot of articles on health of our market and where it might head months from now, next year, etc. But more often, I find myself even more confused because one minute I'd read an article about some rich investor who says recession is looming. Then the very next minute, some award-winning economist would say the complete opposite.
