Most of the general public has no understanding of quantum computer technology especially IONQ and why their full stack quantum technology is advantageous. Just wait until IONQ demonstrates the real-world benefits to the general public like new drugs and treatments for diseases, the design of new materials and chemicals, the improvement of financial trading and risk management, the ability to break encryption and protect data security etc etc. I believe this is coming faster than many people predicted. Just look at all the milestones IONQ has surpassed and how they are way ahead of schedule. Then this stock could be trading at levels one day at levels not to be believed. imo
Most recently, IonQ acquired Entanglement Networks, a company that specializes in quantum networking. This acquisition gives IonQ the ability to build a quantum internet, which is a network of quantum computers that are connected together.
A quantum internet would allow quantum computers to communicate with each other and share data. This would have a number of applications, such as secure communication, distributed computing, and machine learning.
IonQ's full-stack approach, global partnerships, and acquisition of Entanglement Networks are all important steps towards building a quantum internet. If/when imo IonQ is successful, it could have a major impact on the way we communicate and share information.
