I recently decided to buy some 2 very reputable ETFs. I bought just a few shares of each, which brings me to around $700 invested total. I have no intention of buying other ETFs, but I could see myself buying more shares of the same 2 ETFs later. As I eventually save more money to invest, should I just keep buying more shares?
Let's say one share of the ETF that I bought today costs $100 now, but in January (when I could invest more money) it grows to $150 per share. Should I be buying new shares for $150 then? And then 6 months later buying new shares for $200 each?
It just seems like the ETF grows, it's great for my existing portfolio but should I be buying more if they get more expensive too?
