Advice on selling Swiss RE shares bought on LSE that can’t be traded

This is a weird one. I bought some shares in Swiss RE AG many years ago via Halifax in a Stocks & Shares ISA (in the UK). It wasn’t much – 15 shares valued at just over £1.1k currently.

Since then they are no longer traded via the LSE. Halifax is saying they can’t trade these due to a dispute with the Swiss Government and the UK. The only option is to “transfer to a broker that can trade them”.

This is a small amount and I am struggling to see how anyone will help me. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

I feel my best bet might be to transfer this and more of my ISA to a broker as a way to get them interested – but even then it might be a long shot.

I’m wondering what options I have – presumably I do still own the underlying shares? Could I sell them in Switzerland directly?
