Structural Shifts in the Global Economy, that's the topic of discussion for the Aug. 24-26, 2023 Economic Policy Symposium held in Jackson hole hosted by the Federal Reserve. I think we all remember J. Powell's famous 8 minute speech last year that completely tanked the market by stating that the Fed was nowhere near done raising rates. He was true to his word, almost a year later we are still questioning, is the Fed done raising rates? I'm looking forward to see what comes about this year.
This years meeting also happens to be at the same time the BRICS countries are meeting. The next few weeks will be very interesting.
