So I was just thinking about LVMH (Louis Vuitton) and how you can essentially earn a % per bag sold
So I was looking and LVMH pays a dividend of 55¢ per share / qtr
Edit: This is 1.62% annual
There are $2,521,000,000 shares outstanding
Total payout is $1,386,550,000 per quarter
Total Revenue of previous reported quarter is $17.7bn
Dividend payout to total revenue is 7.83%
I know that doesnt mean that as a dividend holder you get 7.83% per revenue dollar, cause thats ridiculous.
How do you calculate this?
