My business partner and i are about to launch our start up and i had a question on compensation for directing the company portfolio as an employee of said company. Do i require a license of some kind kind to invest funds on behalf of the company as an already established employee? It would strictly be company funds and my compensation is already predetermined. Im aware of the series exams that are required to give financial advice with other peoples funds, but this would be for the company i am already an employee of.
Side note: is there anything truly stopping me from simply having my partner “direct the funds” under my guidance and i receive my agreed upon salary anyways?
Difficult question to phrase, so if any elaboration is needed please ask and I’ll answer as i can 🙂
