Should I increase the amount of money I invest?

Hello everyone!

Since last year I rushed into stocks and lost all of my money. About 30 dollars. All was on leverage. Then I started doing research. I read the intelligent investor and a couple of books to know more how the market and stocks work.

Now before buying stocks I look for earnings per share, mean estimate trend, annual revenue, revenue growth, growth marjin, return on equity, valuation(whether Mr Market is showing it relatively underpriced) , price momentum and whether the company tends to have a tendency of more likely going up.

Since then I've been doing pretty well. I managed to grow $20 into $72 in one month. I invested in Pfizer, Suncor, used Baba stock rises and sold(with automatic stop loss when I could earn a little profit. I stopped trading it as I find its movement really unpredictable at times).

I also noticed one day that platinum was buying and selling at the same price and made $14 by buying and selling in 10 seconds intervals(I know… I was just a little excited).

I used leverage again but this time I was a bit smarter about it. Given that I managed to double my initial amount of money I cant help but wonder if I started with a larger sum like $1k or even 10k if I wouldve made a return as high. I also wonder whether its just pure luck. Ive been thinking about increasing my capital but Im really not sure. Ive read that you should not invest more than you can afford to lose and wanted some advice on how I should proceed.

For some background Im a college student in Canada.
