Why do dividends from my mutual fund start out at a loss?

Hey everyone,

Im new to mutual funds and have one through fidelity on FFANX. Yesterday was our dividend day and I have mine to automatically reinvest.

The dividends paid and reinvested were $308.45, and the fund raised $.05 yesterday, but dividend/order says I lost $48.24 and it doesn’t seem like my value went up by $308. It says my average cost basis was $13.81

Can someone tell me a litttle bit about why they started out at a lost, or why they’re all locked in the cost basis when I originally purchased the fund?
