Does a Federal Interest Rate Hike usually result in stock market prices to go down? For example, with the upcoming federal interest rate meeting this month on July 25/26, will the prices of stocks in general be going down or expected to go down? Are there other factors to consider besides the federal interest rate hike?
I apologize if this is a silly question, but I'm interested in how certain factors affect the market or may not affect the market. Thank you
