Cost of Shares

I am wondering once stocks are purchased though ESPPs how would one go about finding how much they have made with the amount of money they put into there ESPP, not including what they paid and figuring out how much a single stock is worth?

Or once the purchase period ends and it's purchased, is that considered one stock or would there be multiple stocks within the six month purchase window?
