There will always be someone who buys it. Meaning the money comes from a person who bought it from me to sell it to someone else.
That is a ponzi mechanic. The money from capit gains comes from a buyer. Not one cent is connected to the real economy.
Paying out dividend doesn’t make the inherent Ponzi mechanic go away.
All the profits come from another person when I sell my portfolio on open.
