tl;dr Unless you want a little bit of personal fluff, you can comment about your answer now.
So some time around the end of 2022 I get a piece of internationally marked mail, all the way from Israel, of all places. But then I see its from the ZIM board of directors and it begins to make sense. Still pretty wild to me they sent a piece of paper mail rather than what all the other domestic(US) stocks do, which is to simply send an email via my brokerages(Morgan Stanley or Fidelity).
Then about a week or two ago, I get a work email telling me that because I have some shares I bought via the stock purchase program, I should vote on issues to be decided at the upcoming board meeting. But the email actually went into depth about the issues, so I was impressed. Also this is my place of work, even if my vote doesnt matter I may get information about my manager's managers of a financial nature, something that is usually a mystery to me.
So, what's your story with board meetings? What have you voted on and why?
