Hello all, perhaps a dumb question but one that I’ve been thinking on. Let’s say you buy into a company, let’s use AMZN as an example. You intend to hold this company until retirement, if that’s the case why do people care when the company rallies 8% in a day or something similar in the short term. Do they hope that there won’t be a pull back? They wouldn’t (in most cases) be able to sell and buy back at a lower price if they’ve been holding for a while, so I don’t really get it.
Thanks!
