What is the most popular measure of investor sentiment?

I am about to write a paper about investor sentiment and i thought there was a few videly recogniced indeces one could use. Such as S&P 500 is a popular estimator for general market conditions, just for investor sentiment instead. Any help appreciated, ty 🙂
