I plan to get out of the program this month, as they are going to shut it down in the coming years as all appropriated shares are almost gone. I have a an additional retirement account, so this isn’t all of my assets. I’m concerned that I don’t have a diverse stock portfolio and things have been bumpy in the industry, lately. Literally all of this money sits in one company.
Is it reckless to just sell all of my shares and purchase some Index funds/use some cash to replace our car that just got totaled by someone running a light?
Will I get severely screwed by capital gains come next tax season?
Not looking to do anything emotional, just reaching out any and all resources to get as many opinions to consider.
