Can stocks be held in physical form instead of digital form?

Back before the era of digital financing, people would buy, hold, and sell stocks in physical paper form. Nowadays, stock trading is done digitally. However, digital stocks are obviously subject to cybercrime. So, is it possible to hold one’s stocks physically to prevent that?
