I keep seeing people post references to airline stocks being a good buy, and all I can ask is…why? I just don't see the logic.
They've been perennial money pits. Their historical stock performance has been terrible. DAL, for example, has been in a trading range since 2014. Almost 10 years. And the industry has been bailed out twice in 15 years, at least in the US.
So I guess the question is: why are others so high on airlines?
