China Fork in the Road (stock reversals)?

Does China have a golden economic opportunity linked to their position on the war between Russia and Ukraine? In particular, is there any real economic advantage for them to align themselves with Putin. In fact, it appears there is much to be gained for them not to. It’s no secret they want to be an economic superpower. And the current situation is a straightforward way to achieve favor on the world stage at the expense of Putin’s miscalculation. It seems to require minimal effort that would result in a substantial reversal in Chinese stock prices, not to mention improved international relations. Considering the alternative of being chummy with Putin, seems like a no brainer.
