I'm trying to open an individual account over at IBKR Europe, but they require a passport number. I selected National Identity Card as my Proof of Identity document, but neverthless there's a field requiring me to indicate my passport number. Typing my Identity Card number in this field won't work. Is there any way to sidestep this? In the IBKR guidance webpage (what you need), it's explicitly stated that only one document is needed, not both. Is this some kind of a bug, has anyone faced a similar issue? Any way to advance with the application using only the National ID?
