A lot of semiconductor stocks have been hammered lately. But Qualcomm especially is taking a hard turn today. Probably because people associate them with Apple, and the news about Chinese cities shutting down due to Covid is probably spooking investors.
I was wondering if anyone has any insights on whether Qualcomm is really that badly affected by the covid shutdowns in China. I remember just a few months ago Qualcomm was bragging about how their multi-source strategy has left them much less affected.
Some possible questions for discussion:
- How badly is the covid chinese shutdowns going to affect Apple and Qualcomm?
- Is Qualcomm a stock you would consider buying now, why or why not?
- Do you think covid or the Russian war is going to have long term affect on Qualcomm (beyond 3-4 months)?
- What semicondutor stock would you buy over qualcomm?
I already have a long position on Qualcomm (as well as amd, nvidia, intel, and marvell).
