Are American stocks the best performing in the world?

If you look at the exponential growth of American stocks like AAPL, no other countries show growth like this in their stocks. For example if you look at Samsung stocks in Korean stock exchange, it's hardly anything impressive. So I wonder how people in other countries invest since their stock markets are hit and miss.
