Trying to sum this up: I have owned this stock direct from company for about 30 years. I go into the online portal managed by another company (Computershare) and find I am able to login and use my password, but all of my data is gone. No name. No stocks. Nothing. I reached out to Computershare and they replied with something like “We can't find your info- please write us a letter with your details.” I still have my tax docs from them in 2020 (2021, 2022 no dividend per company decision so no paperwork). This has never happened to me before– should I track down a financial lawyer (or other type of lawyer?) before I reply to them? I worry that I will be swept under the proverbial rug and be ignored otherwise. I just want my stocks back. Please advise.
