What’s up with Microsoft’s poor execution?

Microsoft (MSFT) recently invested a lot of money into openai which is a good product but lacks monetisation and is seemingly unprofitable as most of the value it provides doesn't go back to the company hosting the AI, ChatGPT.

Then, when they integrated ChatGPT into bing it still suffered from mistakes and issues like Microsoft's old AI such as “going crazy”. Not to mention it's inaccessible to most of the public why launch it at all. After “making Google dance” they made the same mistakes.

This has been a problem with Microsoft with gaming as well. They buy large companies and IPs but can't produce good games.

One example is Halo: Infinite where a combination of bad leads, contracting mistakes and dropping the ball on marketing led to a product that many enjoyed but still not good enough to set records despite being a record setting game for its budget. This led to it leaving a lot of money on the table.

I just don't get why Microsoft can't seem to get it's shit together they could be so much more valuable as a company if they were able to execute. Don't get me wrong it's been performing well and even growing and I even own the stock this isn't a knock on Microsoft I just think it could be better.
