The company I work for offers a 401k program where they will match up to 6%. It’s a Vanguard that they choose to invest in. At the beginning of January I had over 70k$ and due to everything that is happening to the market, I have lost 10k$. I feel like I’m wasting my money right now and I should be putting that extra money into cash savings instead. For some reason it just feels like my money is disappearing in the 401, maybe because I’m not personally making the choices of where my money goes. Anyone else seeing this same issue? Anyone else feel like we’ll eventually recover and make our lost money back? Should I change my options and move that money into cash?
