I'm really into Prosus. I'm a huge fan of Mohnish Pabrai and his portfolio/investing thesis. But I'm not a fan of buying ADRs. There's already a lack of visibility into Prosus from an American standpoint, and the ADRs make it worse.
I've totally sworn off Chinese ADRs. It's hurt me to a certain degree given that I was in Luckin Coffee at a great price when I made the decision. But I'm sticking to it. I'm against their entire approach to life, essentially, and refuse to put my dollars there, even though the opportunity is still large. With India, it's more just a lack of visibility.
I'm wondering what thoughts other US Prosus fans or holders have? Have you taken the plunge? How are you getting your information? Are you okay with less visibility, and if so, why? Also happy to hear other thoughts about the company outside the fact that Americans only have access to ADRs. For example, for those of you with brokerages allowing direct ownership, or those who live in the country, please do provide some insight.
