Berkshire last reported 15% ownership in PARA; I expect the next report will show a higher percentage. Others have been buying, too.

According to its most recent Form 13F filing with the SEC, Exor Capital purchased a new stake in Paramount Global (PARA) during the third quarter,

Exor purchased 686,000 shares valued at approximately $13M. PARA is Exor Capital's 12th largest holding.

Other institutional investors and hedge funds also recently added to their stakes in PARA.

Legal & General Group acquired a new position during the second quarter worth about $104M.

LSV Asset Management also bought a new stake in the third quarter valued at about $104M.

Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings bought a new position during the third quarter valued at approximately $34M.

Villere ST Denis J & Co. bought a new position in the 3rd quarter worth approximately $24M.

Finally, Victory Capital Management acquired a new position in Paramount Global during the third quarter worth about $22M.

All told, institutional investors and hedge funds currently own over 74% of PARA stock. (And again, this percentage may prove even higher when BRK releases its numbers.)

And it's interesting to note that around 15% of PARA – around 90M shares – remain short.

PARA had a strong week last week, and if this trend continues some of these 90M shares short may very well be forced to start covering.

Disclosure: Long both PARA stock as well as the 17 and 24 FEB calls.
