I've been thinking of doing some options trading lately.
Nothing crazy though, just writing call options on my largest holdings (AMZN, GOOG, TSLA) so there is no unlimited downside and I would collect some premium.
I would earn some passive income and this would only limit my upside IF those stocks skyrocket in a massive rebound, so I would have to sell them at profit, which is no problem 🙂 And tbh I don't see any meaningful rebound in the coming 6 months..
Are you folks doing something similar? Are there any pitfalls I'm missing?
Also, I'd like to practice selling options and options spreads on demo account (paper-trading with fake cash) but my brokers (Questrade) does not offer demo for options.. I'm reluctant to change my broker at this moment so looking for some online simulator to trade options (ideally free, but at least with a free-tier). Can anyone recommend?
Cheers!
