Berkshire Hathaway instead of MSCI World?

I saw that Buffets Berkshire Hathaway performed similar in good times, but way more stable in years like that last one.
Would it be a good idea to put money from a broad index fund into berkshire Hathaway, which for me is more like an actively managed fond, but with zero expenses?
