How much can stock splits/dilution be blamed for the recent downturn?

As I’m watching tech and other sectors free fall, it’s hard to ignore how much the stock splits/dilution obscured the actual value of these companies. Frequently after the split these stocks would go on crazy runs even though the number of shares had increased significantly. How much can this dilution be blamed for the precipitous drop that we’re seeing today?
