Is there any point in holding bonds in 2023? This past year has been hard on the equities market and has caused many people to rethink their diversification. Conventional wisdom says to exclude bonds from a portfolio if your time horizon is long (30+ years). However, adding even 10% bonds increases a portfolio's Sharpe ratio noticeably. Wanted to get peoples thoughts on the value of bonds moving forward.
