I feel as if whatever I do my money still comes out behind.

This isn’t just in stocks but it seems like whatever I invest in either loses value or stays about the same. And I’ve tried many investments including stocks, gold, silver, coins. And I feel leaving my money in a savings account causes inflation to eat up the spending power of said money. How does one come out ahead I guess is what my question is?
