Short version: I’m not sure if trade school is for me and am considering transferring to study business or finance instead.

I’m 3 months in at a trade type/applied technology college and am not sure If it’s for me. I have a passion for what I’m studying but am not sure if making a career out of it is the best decision for me. I took 2 years of a vocational program in Highschool and decided to follow through with it and jumped right into college without considering my options or what my future looks like. I was planning to double major in this and add on business to put me in a higher position of my field, but am considering transferring to a 4 year university to study finance/economics or just business administration instead.
I have a passion for business and economics related stuff and have found it fascinating. I spend a lot of my free time reading and learning about the economics and business related stuff. I got into investing at a young age and find analyzing the market and numbers interesting even though I’m not the best at math. In my economics classes during Highschool I placed in the top 20 out of a few thousand in my state for the “stock market simulation” we did. I constantly talk more about financial and business related stuff more than what I’m studying and people at my college even tell me id probably be better off in that field. I’ve been told business administration is too general and finance is very competitive. I’m a lot different personality wise and value wise at my school and feel like a black sheep since I’ve been here.
If I decide to follow through of transferring I’m not sure how that would work and don’t think my credits will transfer. My school offers business administration at all levels, accounting, and marketing, but not finance which is what I was interested in. I am unsure what to tell my parents and what the next steps would be. What are your thoughts on the field or my situation?
