Why did CVS PE ratio jump from 15 to 40 between Sept 29-30

I am a bit new to reading fundamentals of stocks but can anyone explain to me why did the PE ratio of CVS jump from around 15 to 40 overnight on Sept 29-30? It doesn't seem like anything changed fundamentally but just the way it is calculated. Like an accounting change. Thank you
