2000 took about 50% of our retirement savings down. 2007/8 took about 50% down again. This time, we're struggling to even pay bills, and I don't see how to rebuild as things are. Looking at our retirement accounts, we're down about 32% right now, but inflation has eroded the purchasing power on those lifetimes of savings. We're ruined unless this turns around rapidly, and truly recovers. We simply can't rebuild like we did the times before. How low is this thing going to go?
